“Cavallino Time Travel” is the new application of the GREATWARAPP collection for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

GREATWARAPP is a project of territorial enhancement that allows you to relive the sights of the Great War, a time travel with the most advanced 3D technologies and augmented reality.

A century is passed from the Great War.
It was the largest armed conflict ever fought until then and involved the global powers of the time and the nations of every continent in a total war.

Italy declared war to the Austro-Hungarian Empire May 23, 1915.
Thus began also in the north east of Italy a long and terrible conflict that evolved on several fronts, involving cities and towns, disseminated over large areas trenches and fortifications.

The application, created by DNA Cultura with Villaggio Globale International and with the technical collaboration by MidApp, will guide you to discover the places that they became protagonists during the First World War on the Cavallino Coastline.

Through thrilling stories, vintage photos, movies and virtual reconstructions you can interact with the buildings that still exist and discover the most hidden details.

The application presents all the info in a direct and understandable way through different modalities of “visiting”:

Map
lists all the fortifications and campsites, with the possibility of arriving at your destination with your gps navigation system even without data connection.

Fortifications
illustrates currently 16 sites, 4 of which enriched with video guides and fact sheets about the places.

Amalfi Battery
whole section dedicated to the Batteria Amalfi with a guided tour through 12 georeferenced checkpoints.

Then and Now
the charm of Cavallino has ancient roots, images of yesterday and todays images are blended with augmented reality.
